Dr. L. Prasad Vemulapalli is a trusted cardiologist in San Antonio who has dedicated more than 30 years to providing personalized cardiovascular care throughout South Texas. As an experienced cardiovascular specialist, he is committed to helping patients prevent, diagnose, and manage heart and vascular conditions through compassionate, patient-focused care.
Dr. Vemulapalli earned his medical degree from Guntur Medical College before completing his Internal Medicine residency at St. Luke’s Hospital. He continued his advanced medical training through cardiology fellowships at St. Luke’s Hospital, the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine, and the University of Louisville in Kentucky.
Throughout his career, Dr. Vemulapalli has worked closely with patients and their primary care physicians to develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each person’s unique cardiovascular needs. His expertise includes the evaluation and treatment of heart disease, hypertension, vascular conditions, preventive cardiology, diagnostic testing, and ongoing cardiovascular management.

Dr. David S. Burkett is a board-certified cardiologist and cardiac electrophysiologist dedicated to helping patients throughout San Antonio and South Texas achieve better heart health through advanced cardiovascular care and personalized treatment plans.
A San Antonio native, Dr. Burkett earned his medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine before completing his Internal Medicine residency and Cardiovascular Disease fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. He then pursued advanced fellowship training in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology at Northwestern University in Chicago, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of heart rhythm disorders.
With nearly two decades of experience in both private practice and academic medicine, Dr. Burkett has served as an Assistant Professor of Medicine and Director of Cardiology and Electrophysiology services, helping train future physicians while remaining at the forefront of advancements in cardiovascular medicine.
Dr. Burkett specializes in the treatment of atrial fibrillation (AFib), cardiac arrhythmias, coronary artery disease, heart failure, pacemaker management, cardiac ablation procedures, and preventive cardiology. His approach combines advanced technology with compassionate, patient-centered care to help individuals improve their cardiovascular health and quality of life.
